Blue Ash is a top-75 finisher for the latest Golf Digest "Best Course Value Survey." Also another Kidwell/Hurdzan design, Blue Ash features a sensory overload of trees, water, sand and rough. The Cinncinnati golf course plays 6,643 yards from the tips, and accuracy counts most. Green fees are a pittance at $15-$27.

Glenview Municipal Golf Course

Glenview is the pride and joy of the Cincinnati municipal golf system. The course is made up of three par-36, 9-hole tracks that can be played in combination: the West, coming in at 3,359 yards, the East, 3,352 yards, and the South at 3,484. Well maintained, and very popular, definitely make a tee time in advance at this Cincinnati hotel. It's only $31 with a cart on weekends.

Cincinnati's Legendary Run golf course is one of the newest courses in the Cincinnati area. The Arthur Hills design utilizes the natural environment of the area in shaping the course. Legendary Run offers a unique bonus to those of us out there who sometimes like to wager a dollar or two on a round: a 19 hole designed as a playoff hole. The course is in magnificent shape, and plays at 7,128 yards from the tips. The course asks for $25-$15 green fees for daily golf, as well it offers annual memberships.

Pebble Creek Golf Course

Pebble Creek is yet another Cincinnati area municipal gem. This Cincinnati golf course features and island green on the par-3 16th hole, and if you find the drink, everyone will see it as the course bar and grill overlooks said green. The course is a par-71, measuring 6,144 yards from the back tees. Green fees should not exceed $31 dollars.

Sharon Woods Golf Course

This is one of the oldest golf courses in the Cincinnati area, and year after year it's remained quite popular. The age of the course has a lot to do with some of the enormous tree life that often comes into play. The Cincinnati golf course opened in 1938 and it's inaugural round was played by the legendary Bobby Jones. If you want good cheap golf, Cincinnati's Sharon Woods golf course is never more than $31.

These Cincinnati golf courses include the Mill Course and the recently opened 9-hole Meadow Links Course. The Mill course plays 6,376 yards and features plenty of low-to-ground elevation changes that can make for some tricky lies. Also par for Cincinnati area municipal course, the Mill has some well maintained fairways, especially considering how heavily played it can be. It's a steal at $21-$13.

The Vineyard Golf Course

This Cinncinati golf course rates highly among Ohio's public offerings and is also a Golf Digest four-star recipient. Featuring three ponds, tree-lined fairways on every hole, and notoriously slick greens. The Vineyards opened in 1987, and was designed by Jack Kidwell and Michael Hurdzan. Green fees surprisingly low at $15-$29.
